Sports Photography

A Media Day is where the photographer blocks off a couple of hours to spend with a team where we will be taking not only the standard team and individual player photos, but we will also be incorporating creative action shots on the field or court where your team plays! 

This varies based on the team and whether we are using a prepay model or a select & pay after the shoot model.  For standard Team & Individual Player shoots Amber typically follows a prepay model where parents select which package they want to purchase ahead of time, and each package includes a different number of poses.  In those cases the photographer will only be taking the number of poses that the player has pre-paid for.  For Media Days Amber typically follows a model where parents pay a deposit before the shoot, then they select & purchase their photos afterward.  In those cases many different shots are taken (as Media Days include action shots), and the parents will be able to purchase their favorites afterward.  

All outdoor team & individual photo days are taken under a tent in order to control the lighting and block out excess sunlight.  This cover protects us in the event of any rain on photo day, so there will be no need to cancel/reschedule your team!  If you have a Media Day scheduled where we will be taking action shots on an outdoor sports field, then we will look at the most current forecast (either the night before a morning shoot or the morning-of an evening shoot), and determine whether or not we need to reschedule due to rain.

Please encourage all players to be present on photo day.  If a player is sick or out of town on our scheduled photo day, other arrangements can be made.  All missing players will need to travel to the photographer at her convenience, in order to have their makeup photos taken.  Because team photos are built in photoshop it is not an issue to add them to the team photo, even if their photo was taken on a separate day.  If a player was missing on a Media Day where action shots were taken at their field/court, so that the photographer must travel to that location again, then a makeup fee will need to be paid in order to schedule.

The team's online ordering gallery is typically sent to each coach/administrator within 2 weeks of the photoshoot for small-medium teams/leagues, or 3 weeks for larger leagues.  Online ordering is active for 30 days.  If it is a pre-pay situation then photos will be available for download within 10 days, except for larger leagues which may be 2 weeks.
