Come in and relax, breathe for a second! Newborn photos should feel calm, not like one more thing you have to manage.
Newborn sessions take place in Amber’s professional studio located off Martin Way in Olympia. It’s designed around comfort and flexibility, because newborns do not conform to a certain timetable, and that is completely normal!
You’ll have a warm space, everything styled and ready, and plenty of time for feeding, settling, and cuddles. No rushing. No pressure. Everything is provided for you, no need to buy anything or stress about what to bring!
What to expect at your newborn session...
A baby-led session (with breaks built in)
Your baby sets the pace. If they need feeding, changing, or a cuddle, we pause. That’s not “wasting time”, that’s the session.
Gentle posing and comfort first
The goal is simple: beautiful images, created safely and calmly. If your baby prefers to be held or wrapped more snugly, we follow their lead.
Family and sibling photos (yes, we can do them!)
If you’d like parent photos or sibling photos, we’ll plan for it. Amber will guide you so it feels natural, even if you’re tired and running on three hours sleep.
When to book your newborn photoshoot?
It’s highly recommended that you reserve a spot while you’re still pregnant, to guarantee availability. Then we schedule the exact session date once baby arrives. Reserving a spot ahead of time ensures that Amber will fit you in, regardless of when baby decides to grace us with their presence! Simply contact Amber a couple days after baby’s arrival and we’ll set your actual session date at that time. Ideally sessions will take place while baby is under 3 weeks old, or as close to that as possible.
If you’re already holding your baby and thinking “we missed it”, it might not be too late! Reach out anyway and maybe Amber still has some availability and we can find a plan that works for your family. Even if baby is already past the 3 week mark we can do a wrapped session with an older newborn that will be just as precious!
What’s included in the studio session...
Your session includes access to Amber’s full studio collection, including: wraps, outfits, headbands, hats, props, and backdrops.
If you have something sentimental you want included (a blanket from grandma, a teddy, a family heirloom), feel free to bring it! Your important details matter!

Reach out with your due date...
Send a quick message and Amber will share if she has availability around your due date window.
Secure your spot
Place the Initial Booking Fee of $150 which holds a spot around your due date, so you’re not trying to find a photographer after baby is here. Then let Amber know once baby has arrived and we’ll schedule the actual session date at that time.
Choose your images and products
After your session you’ll view your images and select your favorites that you’d like to purchase. There are several different Digital & Printed Product Collections to choose from, to fit different budgets and desires.
Newborn Collections start at $550 and increase based on what you’d love to take home.
Payment plans are available on request.

Don't stress! It is completely normal. We take breaks when needed to soothe, feed when needed, and we work at your baby’s pace.
Plan for a relaxed block of time so we’re never rushing. Newborn sessions move gently, with breaks built in. The average session lasts 2-3 hours.

Absolutely! We’ll plan sibling photos at the right point in the session so it feels easy for everyone.
