NEWBORN · SESSION PLANNING GUIDE

Studio or lifestyle newborn photographs?

Two lovely ways to remember the beginning. Here’s how to choose the setting that feels right.

Start with how you want the photographs to feel

A studio portrait can put the focus on delicate details, intentional styling and a simple backdrop. An at-home session can hold a little more of your everyday world: the nursery, your favorite chair or a quiet moment on the sofa.

Think about the setting

The studio offers prepared lighting and a choice of wraps, props and backdrops. At home, window light and the rooms you use become part of the session. Neither choice requires you to know how to pose.

Talk through the practical details

Tell Amber your due date, where you live and what you would love to see in your gallery. Discuss timing and preparation together before choosing your session.
