Olympia Area Maternity Sessions

This is a fair question, and I am happy to answer!  Not only do I have 14+ years of experience to rely on, as well as a complimentary client closet to choose from - but I am an extensive retoucher!  What does that mean exactly?  I pay very close attention to all details in an image, and I address parts of an image that many other photographers do not focus on.   Clients who appreciate that additional attention to detail and extensive retouching are willing to pay for the extra time that this takes, in order to be done properly.  It doesn't make one photographer necessarily better than another, it's just a different style.  With me personally, I am aiming for what I consider to be total "perfection" in my final images.  That means many things, but the top priority being that my clients are flattered as much as possible.  The main goal with this is that my clients will look at their images and only see the love, the connections, and the special moments, instead of focusing on any "imperfections", because any possible imperfections they could focus on have been completely eliminated.  This process involves (but is not limited to):  perfecting the lighting that is hitting my subjects, paying close attention to skin, evening out skin tones, removing blemishes, softening fine lines and lightening under eye circles - all things related to skin are a top priority for me.  Slight teeth whitening is performed when needed.  Hair is also a huge focus of mine, all stray hairs and frizz or flyaways are removed/smoothed.  Any lumps/bumps in clothing are smoothed/removed.  You'll never EVER see a muffin top or a double chin in a final image.  All distracting items in the background are removed, this might include light poles or power lines or cars or garbage cans - anything that the eye might go to instead of going directly to my subjects, is removed.  I spend a lot of time analyzing and perfecting my images, because in order for retouching to be done properly it cannot be obvious.  Meaning I have to flatter my clients as much as possible, without making them look too heavily "photoshopped".   You still need to look like yourself!   This is a balance that takes skill and time.  I have had many clients who return to me after trying cheaper photographers because they notice the difference in the final edits they receive, and they prefer the extra retouching that they received from me.

There are SO many places to choose from!  This is where your desires come into play.  We will discuss any locations that are special to you, or the type of look and feel you're hoping for.  That will help shape the location we select.   Locations within a 20-minute drive of the Olympia area are included in my rates.  There may be a small travel fee for further locations, but we will discuss this ahead of time so there are no surprises!

Typically Maternity Sessions last 45 minutes up to 1 hour, if we are doing either in-studio OR outdoors.  For the Deluxe session where we are shooting BOTH outdoors and in-studio, that type of session may last up to 2 hours.

I have a complimentary client wardrobe that my maternity clients are welcome to use.  A link will be sent so you can visualize what is available.  For studio sessions you will have full access to the entire wardrobe of dresses, shawls, lace, bandeaus and hats.  For outdoor sessions you may select up to 3 items that I will bring along to your session.  You are also welcome to provide your own wardrobe or accessories, either in combination with mine or entirely your own.  While dresses are highly recommended, ultimately it's most important that you feel comfortable in what you're wearing.  We will go into more detail regarding wardrobe after you've booked your session and we begin the planning process!

Absolutely, in fact it's encouraged!   Please feel free to bring your significant other, as well as any children you may already have.  We will discuss how to best incorporate them into parts of your session.

Yes!  If you book a Maternity Session and a Full-Length Newborn session with Amber Webb Photography, you will receive a $100 credit to put toward purchasing an image package after your newborn session.  

(Important Note:  This bundle deal only applies to those who book a full-length maternity and full-length newborn session.  It does not apply if you book one of Amber's Mini Sessions and use it as a maternity session, or if you book a "Petite" Newborn Session.)

If you are wanting a quick session or a small number of images, then you are welcome to book on one of Amber's Mini Session days.  These are pre-planned events where Amber sees multiple families/couples on the same day at a pre-chosen location picked by Amber.  These are typically offered seasonally.  You may book a Mini Session and use it as a maternity session if you'd like.  To see what upcoming Mini Sessions Amber is currently booking for, please visit her booking site where you can see what options are available:  https://amberwebbphoto.bigcartel.com/
