As a Puget Sound area photographer who has specialized in seasonal Mini Sessions for 14+ years now, I love offering unique setups and locations to suit different tastes and desires!
Why Are Mini Sessions Ideal?
Mini Sessions are great because they’re only 15-20 minutes in length, which is honestly about how long you can hold the attention spans of kiddos anyway! (And let’s be real, it’s about how long most dads want to spend taking photos as well!) With years of experience shooting mini sessions around the Olympia area I have gotten very good at firing off a lot of shots in a very short amount of time, without making families feel “rushed”. This results in plentiful proofing galleries, giving you more than enough to choose from! Families are continuously shocked at what we were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time! Plus we had fun! I keep my sessions light and playful. I never want anyone to leave feeling like they just had a stressful experience! And even if your kiddos didn’t cooperate as well as you hoped they would, that’s where I ask clients to put their trust in me to perform some photoshop magic and create the end result they were hoping for! I’ll take care of you!

In-The-Box Sessions
Sunday, November 1st
These sessions are probably the most unique of all the options I offer each year! My fully-customized In-The-Box sessions make the perfect photo to send out on your Holiday cards, surprising your friends and family with something new, fun & unexpected! We will discuss your box ahead of time and plan it out so that we end up with a cohesive & believable collage. These image composites are built and hand-edited using Photoshop, nothing is AI-generated! These sessions take place on the afternoon of Sunday, November 1st, at my professional studio in Olympia. Half of the total is due at booking in order to reserve a time slot. The other half is due before your actual session (you can read more on this by following the link below).
This year I am including the option to add SANTA into your family’s collage!

Tacoma Holiday Studio
November 8th
I love renting out this Tacoma studio each year as the owner fully decorates the spaces for us! We just have to show up and it’s all ready to go! She has TWO beautiful rooms to choose from this year, and I have rented each room separately on Sunday, November 8th. Whether you want bright & cheerful, or soft & neutral elegance, there is an option for your family! Each room rental includes multiple different vignettes within that room that we are able to use, to increase the variety in your session!

The “Petite” Glass House & “Tree Farm”
November 15th
I love this location out past Shelton. The same owner of the Tacoma Studio also owns this location, and she continues her trend of fabulously pre-decorated spaces that we are able to show up and take advantage of! (She also offers a larger Glass House option, however all of those spots sold out immediately upon opening, so I won’t be showing those in this blog!) What you will see below is that she is offering a new rental space this year on the same property, and I happen to be very excited about it! This space is called the “Petite” Glass House, and it is surrounded by the cutest little faux tree farm. I adore the ambience of this space, and it’s indoor/outdoor options! Olympia Christmas Tree Farm
November 27-28
My favorite Christmas Tree Farm to use each year is located in Olympia at Hunters Family Farm! Located off Yelm Hwy near the Amtrak station it’s a convenient location for many! There is no entrance fee to worry about, and plenty of parking! Plus acres of Christmas trees so we can find a secluded spot and not be bothered with crowds! These Christmas Tree Farm mini sessions will be held around sunset on Friday November 27th, as well as the morning of Saturday November 28th. Come for family photos, then stay for the activities they offer and pick out your Christmas tree while you’re there! As with all of my holiday mini sessions, only the initial retainer is due now to book, you’ll purchase your images separately at a later date!
